Psychotherapeutic Approaches

Guided Imagery

Imagery is the interface between the mind and body, and it supports the mind/body connection.

Imagery opens a door through which you can view your inner world. It can have a profoundly positive impact on physiology, allowing you to regulate your physical and emotional experience more effectively.

Through guided imagery, it is possible to discover and understand the sources of emotional pain, and then to find answers or solutions. This also applies to management of physical pain.

Psychotherapeutic approaches to pain management are an adjunct to, not a substitute for, medical intervention.
